Greening the Commute
Carpooling, taking public transport, biking, walking, or a creative combination thereof.
If there’s no good way to phase out your car, consider getting a hybrid, electric vehicle, motorcycle, scooter, or using a car sharing service like Greenshare car, Flexicar or Goget.
Why not be even more creative and try riding a tandem bicycle with a colleague?

More Work, Less Energy!
Optimizing the energy settings for computers and other devices can be more than a modest energy saver. Set computers to energy-saving settings and make sure to shut them down when you leave for the day (“standby” settings will continue to draw power even when not in use). By plugging hardware into a power strip with an on/off switch. Printers, scanners, and other peripherals that are only used occasionally can be unplugged until they’re needed. And of course, turn off lights in spaces that are unoccupied!

PowerPoint Presentations for the New Year
January 11th, 2011
Its that time of year again… After the Christmas pudding and celebratory drinks around New Years, the festive season settles and we are all scrambling to keep those resolutions.
Our aim at Presentation Studio is to rid the world of bad presentation habits in hope of making 2011 a happy place for audiences around the globe! So we have come up with a few examples on how you could make 2011 a better place…A better place with NO BORING PRESENTATIONS.
I PROMISE I WILL…
- step away from my computer and brainstorm my ideas and goals
- build a story and take my audience on a journey
- connect & engage with my audience
- be concise and to the point
- rehearse, rehearse and rehearse again…
I PROMISE I WILL NOT…
- write my presentation the night before on 8 espressos
- rehearse the morning of my presentation
- enter meetings with a loaded PowerPoint, “intent to kill”
- use clipart or nauseating animations
- speak for longer than I have been allocated
So Good Luck. And if all else fails, you know who to call
